Summer Meal Program Information

The Summer Meal Programs serve healthy, no cost meals to children and teens 18 and younger, and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old.

Organizations and schools around your community are serving meals in unique ways to help your children continue to thrive and grow. Meal sites include schools, parks, city recreational centers, and libraries in communities across the state.

There are no registration or identification requirements for participants to enjoy meals. At some sites during COVID-19, children may need to be present in order to receive the meals. Contact the meal site for additional information and to ensure they are open and serving meals. The texting tool and the map provide contact information for each meal site.

COVID-19 Update 4-17-2020

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced today that he has amended his Executive Order closing all schools in the state for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. We are committed to providing at-home instruction and meal service through our last day of school, May 21st. NTXCA administrators are discussing opportunities to honor our end-of-year traditions including 8th-grade promotion ceremonies and school-wide awards ceremonies. Look for more information on these special events soon.

For the next 4 weeks, we'll continue to distribute meals and instructional packets on Mondays from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. Completed packets can be dropped off on Mondays, mailed to your campus, or submitted online to your child's teachers.

We appreciate the support and commitment our families continue to show during this unprecedented challenge.
