  • MCEC® offers learning opportunities for professionals including topics that enhance the understanding of the challenges of transition for military and veteran-connected students and provide recommendations for support.  To learn more about these opportunities click the link above.

Sesame Street: Talk, Listen, Connect- Deployments, Homecomings, Changes  

  • Sesame Street offers a variety of resources and videos geared towards helping children cope with the anxieties surrounding military-connected families.  Resources are available in English and Spanish.

Tutor.com

  • Military Families can access free tutoring and homework help online at no cost to active duty members and their eligible dependents.  Tutor.com offers help with homework, studying, test prep, proofreading, and more.

Military K-12 Partners: A DoDEA Educational Partnership Program

  • DoDEA has awarded 321 grants since 2009 totaling over $400 million to support academic achievement and educational opportunities outcomes for military children.  In the fiscal year of 2017, Texas received $2.35 million dollars.  Data gathered from these grant programs show that there are significant improvements in student achievement, increased professional development for teachers, enhanced social and emotional support for students.
