Hello!! My name is Harmony Balentine and I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching first grade for North Texas Collegiate Academy- East! I received my Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences degree from Lamar University and have worked in early childhood education for the last 15 years. Before coming to NTxCA, I worked for Cross Oaks Elementary School in the SPED and early childhood education departments.
I have lived in this area for the last 16 years and absolutely love it. I adore spending time with my husband and three amazing kids (four including the new son-in-law). Before having her summer wedding, my daughter, Taitum, recently graduated from The University of Oklahoma and will be attending The University of Texas Law School in the Fall. My son, Talon is a sophomore at Braswell High School and an avid golfer. My youngest son, Trey, will be an 8th grader at Rodriguez Middle School and is an active member of the fine arts department and local community theatres.
I have a passion for teaching and believe that all children are capable of learning at high levels. I believe in teaching to the whole child, while not only meeting but also embracing individual needs. Please know that I will work diligently to not only love and teach your child, but to also keep them safe. It's going to be a great year!!
