In accordance with local policy and in compliance with Durham Student Services operational guidelines, bus drivers may NOT drop off students in 2nd grade or lower without a parent, designated adult or older sibling at the bus stop. We encourage you to download the bus app to track route locations and ensure you are at your stop at the appropriate time.
If you are not at the designated stop, your child will remain on the bus for the duration of the route and the driver will bring your child back to their home campus at the end of the route. If you are not at the school to meet the bus after route completion, the driver will call the police to intervene. This is not a step we want to take but one that will be necessary when no parent or designated adult can pick up the child.
If your child has to be brought back to the school more than twice in a semester, we will view your lateness as a habit and not an incidental occurrence so bus privileges will be suspended.
Should you have any questions, please call your campus principal.

Dear NTxCA Families,
Thank you for helping us make dismissal safe, smooth, and efficient for everyone! 💛
For the safety of all of our students, please do not walk up to the cafeteria doors at dismissal to pick up your student.
All students designated as car riders must be picked up through the established car-rider traffic flow. This allows our staff to safely supervise students, keep traffic moving, and ensure every child is released to the correct adult.
We appreciate your partnership and your help in following our dismissal procedures each day. When we all follow the same process, dismissal is safer and easier for everyone!
Thank you for helping us keep our Jaguars safe! 🐾💛🖤
