Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars, these are your announcements for the Week of December 4, 2023; *Our Character Trait this week is CARING *Progress Reports will go home with students in grades 1st through 8th TOMORROW. Make sure you check yellow folders and backpacks for the Progress Reports *It's finally here! Join us this Thursday for our Annual Multicultural Fair! Meet us on campus from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm for a "Hike Around the World." Come join us for food samples from around the world, music, crafts, a silent auction and so much more! I promise YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS! *Jaguar Pep Squad practice Wednesday, December 6th from 3:45 - 4:15 *Our next Awards Ceremony is scheduled for January 9th, 2024 at 2:15 pm. Your teacher will contact you to let you know if your student will be receiving an award. I hope you will join us. ATTENTION JAGUAR PARENTS: If your student has 10 or more "excused / unexcused" absences, her is your gentle reminder... .................... Mom / Dad: But we had a doctor's note Ms. Jordan!!! Parent / Guardian: I wrote a note to you Ms. Jordan??? I also called, but no one answered the phone!!! Ms. Jordan: Thank you so much for the doctor's note, parent note, and the telephone call. However, the 90 Percent Rule, in addition to Compulsory Attendance laws indicates we are required to enforce the 90 Percent Rule, which states that students in grades K-12 must attend class for 90% of the time it is offered to receive full grade credit or a final grade. The 90 percent rule applies to all absences, including excused absences. If the student doesn’t meet this requirement, an attendance committee may grant the student credit or a final grade, depending on the circumstances. Becoming familiar with the school’s policies will help you manage your child’s attendance and ensure that he or she avoids too many missed school days. Please make sure your student is on time and AT SCHOOL each school day!

Please make sure your student is on time and remains at school until 3:30 pm each day. On grocery days (2nd & 4th Tuesday) parents are picking their student(s) up early from school. I am asking, "Parents if your student DOES NOT have an appointment or other emergency on grocery day afternoon, please do not pick up your student early." All instructional minutes count...... EVERY MINUTE counts and it's important for your student to continue learning through 3:30 each day. Thank you for following the early pick-up rule!

Join us Thursday, December 7th at 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm for a "Hike Around the World!" *A gentle reminder notice about ATTENDANCE! Student DAILY attendance at school is important. Please make sure your student is at school each day and on time *A gentle reminder notice about the After School Program. All school rules and codes of conduct must be followed during the after-school program. Students who receive two disciplinary write-ups will be dismissed from the program. Disciplinary write-ups include late parent pick-up! *All Jaguar announcements, invitations, notices, and other campus messages are posted to our campus Facebook page. These are your announcements for the week of November 13 - 17, 2023 ! *Our Character Trait for this week is THANKFULNESS *Students will be in school Monday through Friday this week. There is no early release days this week, and yes, we will be having after-school programming. Prevent a disciplinary write-up and pick up your student on time! *Join Ms. Wims and Ms. Hightower this Thursday, November 16th for "Pies with Parents!" We want to continue building relationships with parents so we are inviting you for a slice of pie and coffee and time to mingle with your teacher(s). Meet your student's teacher for 8 to 10 minutes in the Jaguar Cafe on Thursday from 8:00 until 9:00 a.m. *Our Fall Holiday Break is November 20 through November 24, please enjoy time with your family and friends. Students will return to school on Monday, November 27th *SAVE THE DATE !! Mark your calendars today for our Annual Multicultural Fair! Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars, this is your Principal, Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements; *The CHARACTER TRAIT this week is EMPATHY *Tuesday, October 31st is Halloween and this is just a gentle reminder that we do not wear costumes to school *Our 3rd thru 8th grade students will be participating in our 6-Weeks exams Tuesday thru Friday, which means our 2nd Six Weeks ends on Friday, November 3rd. Please make sure your student has corrected, re-assessed, and made up tests and other assignments by 1:00 Friday. Report Cards will be sent home on Monday, November 6th *There is NO PEP SQUAD practice this week *Friday is an early release day for our students! Let’s celebrate with a dance party lead by our Pep Squad at 7:15! I hope to see ALL STUDENTS on time for this dance party! We will dance at 7:15 until 7:30. Please be early! You don’t want to miss this!!!!! You can also catch us LIVE on Facebook! *There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING this Friday. Please pick up your student on time at 1:00 this Friday! *Mark your calendars NOW for our next Fund-Raising event. Ms. Robinson would like you to meet us on November 9th for pizza at Chuck E Cheese in Denton!
