IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER: Because of safety concerns, please do not park, wait, or line up on the feeder road. You will be asked to move your car to the end of the line if you are waiting on the feeder/access road. All traffic should line up on Barcelona and Schulyer. LET'S KEEP EVERYONE SAFE during after school dismissal!

JAGUAR ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 7, 2023
*Monday, August 7th is the Mandatory Parent Meeting to review transportation. Join us at 6:00 pm in Jaguar Café. During this meeting we will meet Durham Transportation Supervisors, review rules, policies, procedures, and bus routes.
*Tuesday is Grocery Day ! Please be prepared to show your ID for groceries from 1:00 until 4:00 If you are in need of groceries, we'll see you Tuesday!
*Tuesday is also our Meet the Teacher Night!!! Teachers will be ready to meet the students and families at this come and go event at 6:00 until 7:30 pm. We will see you then!
*THURSDAY, AUGUST 10TH IS THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!! Please make sure you have returned all of the required enrollment paperwork especially PK and 7th grade immunizations! Students who have not returned the proper paperwork may not sit in a seat in class. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Rosell at the campus
The cafeteria doors will open on the first day of school by 7:15. Breakfast will begin at 7:30. For safety and security reasons, we are asking that all parents leave the building on or before 7:55 as we want to begin our instruction at 8:00.

Bilingual social workers will be at the North Campus from 1:00-4:00 on Tuesday, August 22nd (on our pantry shopping day) to assist NTxCA families with applications for SNAP/TANF, Medicaid, Texas Housing Assistance and other state and federal resources. Please bring proof of income and residency, if available. This is a FREE community service effort provided by NTxCA.
IMPORTANT PANTRY UPDATE! Starting NEXT WEEK, our NTxCA Food Pantry will be open the 2nd and 4th TUESDAY of each month for the new school year.
Parents will sign a new form for the 2023-2024 school year during Meet-the-Teacher night. All enrolled families qualify as long as you complete your form!
ATTENTION JAGUAR FAMILIES: Our offices will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week.
The office will reopen on Friday, August 4th. If you have student enrollment paperwork that needs to be turned in, please get that paperwork returned to Ms. Rosell as soon as possible.
GENTLE REMINDER: Reminding parents about immunizations for our 7th grade students. ALL 7th grade students MUST have current immunizations or the immunization waiver on or before August 10th. No student can attend school on 1st day of school without current shots or the waiver.

All school supplies and meals are provided. Families provide headphones for all grades and a nap mat for Pre-K. School starts Thursday, August 10th!
To attend school, all students must have a current immunization record or a current exemption for reasons of conscience if your family does not participate in immunizations. These exemptions must be completed every 2 years and are obtained through Texas Health and Human Services, so they are not available at our campus offices.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT FACEBOOK MEMBERSHIP:
On August 10th, 2023, ALL parents and family members will be REMOVED from the Facebook Group (NTxCA North Campus).
Because we want to do as much as possible to protect all of our students and families, we want to make sure we have parents and family members within this group who are "actively enrolled" on our campus this school year. I hope you can appreciate my efforts in trying to ensure and maintain the social media safety of everyone in our school community. I apologize in advance for the drastic change, but this needs to be done.
Please continue to enjoy all posts, pictures, and announcements until August 10th. On August 11th, you will be able to request to join the group again. However, this is a STRONG REMINDER that every one MUST respond to the security questions AND include the name(s) of the enrolled students before access will be granted.

Grocery day is this Wednesday 1:00-4:00pm (July 12) at the North Campus. Families must be pre-enrolled with us to receive free groceries. We will also have assorted clothing and shoes this week.

Applications for the free After-School Program for the 2023-2024 school year are on our website! (Click the link below to be taken directly to the application)
Because this program is grant-funded, seats are limited at each campus. Not all who apply will be able to attend. Students who are experiencing homelessness will be accepted first, followed by students who have a need for academic intervention and students who would otherwise not have supervision after school.
We will process applications the week of July 10th and notify parents of the child's acceptance or wait-list status by July 14th.

ATTENTION ALL JAGUAR PARENTS AND STUDENTS who were with us last school year: If you haven't already, you MUST complete and RETURN two new pages of the enrollment packet to attend school next year! Thank you soooooooooo much to all of the parents who stopped by today to return those two pages.
If you filled out the pre-registration online in March, THANK YOU.
However, these two new pages are totally new and different from the registration paperwork. I cannot stress enough that you MUST complete those additional 2 new pages before your enrollment is FINAL.
IMPORTANT TO ALL 2ND GRADERS: If your student will be in 2nd grade next year, you MUST have those two pages completed by Monday, June 26th; otherwise, you are at risk of being placed on the waitlist!
