Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars, this is Ms. Jordan with your announcements for this final week in October. *This week’s Character Trait is COMPASSION *Thank you to ALL of the Jaguar students and families who came out and supported our volleyball team! Our Jaguars proudly received 1st Place! Up next, basketball! *Thank you to those parents who were able to attend the “Coffee & Conversation” zoom meeting with the Principal this past Friday. I look forward to our next meeting in February and I hope other Jaguar parents will join us! *Reminding all parents that ATTENDANCE at school EVERY DAY is the LAW !! Parents received Attendance / Truancy Warning letters on Friday and a few will go home tomorrow. *Dancing With the Jaguar Stars will continue this week! I hope everyone will arrive at school ON TIME each day this week! You just NEVER, EVER, know when we will have our Jaguar Cubs PEP UP with the Cupid Shuffle, the Stanky Leg, or even the NeNe! Let’s be on time EVERYDAY and join the Jaguar fun! *If your family is in need of groceries, our “Grocery Day” is Wednesday from 1:00 until 4:00. For the safety of our campus and everyone on the campus, please be prepared to show your ID before you are allowed to enter the campus. No exceptions. *Congratulations to ALL students who submitted a Fire Prevention poster. Our Administration Team of Judges indicated the decisions were VERY DIFFICULT! Our Jaguars put a lot of thought and effort into ALL posters. Here are the winners of a blue ribbon and 2 tickets to Nerf Battlefield; Middle School Winner – Celine Mongo Elementary School Winner – Desare’ Inclan Jaguar Cub Winner – Ripley Haste *This week our campus will be celebrating “Red Ribbon Week.” Here are the weekly activities; Monday – Peace Out to Drugs! The school will provide temporary tattoos and coloring activities that will be posted throughout the campus Tuesday – Toe-tally Drug Free! Wear crazy socks day ! Wednesday – Hairs to being Drug Free! Wear crazy hair day. (NOTE: Colors and sprays must be removed by Thursday) Thursday – Let’s Taco-bout Being Drug Free (Tacos and fajitas for lunch) Friday – Team Up Against Drugs! Wear your favorite team t-shirt or jersey! *Our Red Ribbon Door Decorating contest ends Tuesday at 3:00. All classroom doors must be completed on Tuesday by 3 in order to have the picture taken and posted to our district Facebook group for judging. Good Luck to EVERYONE ! *If you have not already provided candy, please consider donating a bag of candy to your classroom. Our Family Fall Fun Festival is Saturday, November 5th from 11 – 2 at North Lakes Park! We will have food, fun, and games, need candy and support of our parent volunteers. Please speak with your student’s teacher if you are able to volunteer in a 15-minute parent rotation for the classroom game/booth! These are your announcements, for this final week in October. October is National Principals' Month! Help us honor our NTxCA principals for their dedication and thank them for all they do to support our schools!

** REMINDER ** It's a 4-day weekend for students!!

We're thrilled to announce Mrs. Maria Meserve as the October "Difference Maker!" This is Mrs. Meserve's 1st year with NTxCA but she's already a very loved member of our team. We're proud of her hard work, dedication, and sweet spirit. As both a first-grade teacher and the after-school coordinator for the North Campus, she has some very long days but is faithful in every way. She's definitely a "Difference Maker" who helps us fulfill our mission to be #MoreThanASchool!

Good Sunday evening Jaguars, this is Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements; *This week’s Character Trait is TOLERANCE *There’s a lot going on this week, beginning with our Parent / Teacher conferences.  Your teacher will be reaching out to you to schedule your conferences for this week.  Please make sure you have scheduled some time to visit with your student’s teacher regarding their Beginning of the Year academic, social, and behavioral successes!  We have always had 100% parent participate so let’s get those meeting scheduled. *This week is only a 4-day week!  We will have school Monday thru Thursday with Friday being a Professional Development for our teachers.  There is no school on Friday!!! *In observance of Columbus Day, there will be no school on Monday, October 10th *Volleyball practice for our 5th thru 8th grade students is Monday and Wednesday this week from 4:00 until 5:15.  Reminding parents to please pick up your student by 5:15.  *Thank you to everyone for the support of our students and our campus Community Service Projects!  The last day for donations and / or participation is Thursday, October 5th. *Mark your calendars for our district volleyball tournament on October 21st at 5:00 pm *A final reminder about student dress code.  Please make sure your student is in dress code each day at school.  This means no distracting hairstyles, hair color, and boys hair must not be below the eyebrows or over the ears and must not touch the shirt collar, and clean uniform shirts and/or the required baby blue or black t-shirt provided by the district.  An expected shipment of uniform shirts should be delivered by Wednesday, October 12th.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the vendor will follow thru!! It's GROCERY DAY! We've got lots of protein, baby products, fresh produce and canned goods FREE to current NTxCA families! The Pantry will be open for shoppers 1pm - 4pm today! No need to call or make an appointment if you come during that time.

Please make sure your address has been updated in our records *Middle school volleyball practice is Monday and Wednesday of this week. Practice is from 4:00 until 5:15 *Join us for our Jaguar Awards Ceremony this Wednesday from 2:30 until 3:25. Additional information will follow regarding our ceremony *Don’t forget this Thursday, September 29th is our Hispanic Heritage Month art show celebration! I hope you can join us from 5:00 until 6:00 in the Jaguar Den *Each classroom on our campus will continue supporting our non-profit organizations in our community. Save the date for our NTxCA Fall Family Fun Day!!

This is Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements! *Make sure you have signed up with our Apptegy app in order to receive all school to home communication! I am currently working on parent emails for weekly messages. If you have an email you would like us to use, please contact the office and have your email address updated. Text messages for weekly announcements is limited to only 320 characters. *Our Character Trait for this week is: GENEROSITY *Volleyball practice for our 5 - 8 grade students is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00 - 5:15. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PICK YOUR STUDENT UP ON TIME *Remember our campus has begun our Community Service Project. Each classroom has completed a needs assessment and has adopted a non-profit organization in our community. Visit with your student to learn more about their class project. *Our 3rd – 8th grade students will begin their 6 Weeks Exams Tuesday thru Thursday. Attendance is always mandatory, but please make sure your student is on time to school. *Friday, September 23rd is the END of our 1st Six Weeks! Report cards will go home on Monday, September 26th *Friday is also our very first CASUAL FOR A CAUSE day in this school year! All teachers and students can pay $3 and they may wear their school appropriate casual clothes this Friday! You may send $3.00/student Monday thru Friday morning at breakfast. Students may NOT wear, leggings, jeggings, tights, yoga pants, ripped or torn jeans/pants, spaghetti straps, short skirts, short shorts, or no hoodies. If you have to question your outfit, select another one! Students not in school appropriate clothing will be asked to return home for a change of clothes. All funds collected will go towards our student activities fund! *Our campus will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with an art show. I hope you will be able to join us on September 29th from 5:00 – 6:00 for our celebration and acknowledgement of Hispanic Heritage. *Our elementary students have begun their Friday clubs! The Friday Clubs are 2:30 – 3:30 each Friday during the school day. A few of our campus clubs include; Sphero (Coding Club), Typing, and STEM. Music Club and Pep Squad will meet bi-weekly on Friday. *An update regarding our uniform shirts: unfortunately we did not receive a shipment in this week. We have all orders that have been placed and you have not been forgotten! If you will continue to bare with us, we will get those shirts and sweatshirts to you as soon as we can receive them from the vendor! We appreciate your patience and understanding! Hello Parents, Friday, September 16th is picture day. I will be sending forms home tomorrow. Students may wear their own clothing for picture day but will need to bring school uniform to change into once they have had their picture taken.
