Hello Lewisville Lions!

My name is Randy Tates, and I am known to our students as Coach Tates. I have been the Music and PE Coach at the South Campus for over 10 years.

I am so excited to teach our students each school year. I enjoy sharing with our students the musical skills I have learned over the years, as well as the importance of health and fitness. I also enjoy staying in shape and helping others stay in shape, so PE is a great way for me to share my knowledge and skills in this area. I strive daily to give our students the best PE/Music experience they've ever had!

I am a graduate of Ashford University, where I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I enjoy reading, writing screen plays, playing music with various bands and karaoke.

I believe education is the key to success, so I believe in educating the whole child. I help motivate our students each morning with motivational speeches and quotes! I am a firm believer that, we are only as strong as the teacher in our lives; therefore, I strive to be that teacher who will always be a positive influence, knowledgeable and resourceful.

I love teaching our students, pouring into them daily, and bringing their talents to life!
