I am thrilled to serve as the Principal of North Texas Collegiate Academy, South Campus. With 23 years of dedicated experience in elementary and secondary education, I bring a passion for academic excellence and a deep commitment to creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
My journey in education has been driven by one core belief: every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. I am here to ensure that our PK-8 community remains a place where learning is engaging, growth is celebrated, and every family feels valued and supported.
My Educational Leadership Journey
Throughout my career in education, I have served in various leadership roles from classroom teacher to assistant principal to my current position as principal. My journey has taken me through both urban and suburban settings, always with a focus on student achievement and creating positive learning environments.
I have been recognized as both a campus and district Teacher of the Year, and I've had the privilege of leading initiatives that improved school performance and removed campuses from improvement status. My experience spans all grade levels from elementary through high school, giving me a comprehensive understanding of student development and educational needs.

Student-Centered Approach: Experience with ARD meetings, 504 plans, implementation of ESL strategies for Emergent Bilingual students, and supporting at-risk students with specialized resources
Innovative Programs: Implemented Restorative Discipline practices and Response to Intervention (RtI) programs
Community Engagement: Coordinated student recognition programs and maintained strong partnerships with local organizations
Military Service: U.S. Navy Veteran with strong organizational and leadership skills
Beyond the Classroom
As a mother to two wonderful boys and a proud grandmother to another precious boy, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of raising children. This personal experience as a parent and grandparent deeply informs my approach to education and helps me connect with families on a meaningful level.
When I'm not at school, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I'm passionate about the outdoors and enjoy exploring nature, whether it's hiking, boating, or simply taking walks in beautiful settings. I also have a love for traveling and discovering new places, which has broadened my perspective and enriched my understanding of diverse cultures and communities.
