Dr. Lisa Stanley

It's been my pleasure to serve the families of North Texas Collegiate Academy since August 2001 when we first opened two small campuses in Denton County.  After serving as a campus principal for 9 years, I moved into the role of Assistant Superintendent over Student Services and then became the Superintendent in 2012.  Watching these schools grow and serving this community is an honor.

I truly believe being an educator is a calling and I know this is the career pathway I was created to follow. Likewise, I believe that every one of our students has a unique calling. It's our duty to help each student identify their talents and gifts, to empower them with the confidence to pursue their dreams, and to equip them with the skills they need to be the leaders of tomorrow.

I am a lifelong learner and always looking for ways to grow professionally so I can better serve our school community. Most recently, in February 2021, I earned my National Superintendent Certification through the American Association of School Administrators and in July 2021 I completed my Certificate of School Management and Leadership through Harvard University's Graduate School of Education. I am an alumni of the Thompson Executive Leadership Institute and a member of Southern Methodist University District Leadership Fellows.

When I'm not at school, my time is spent in my faith, with my family, and on our farm. I also serve as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Denton County Friends of the Family (a non-profit organization serving women and children who are victims of sexual or domestic abuse) and am on the Board of Directors for the Texas Public Charter Schools Association.

Our schools operate under the beliefs:

*Teachers matter; in fact, they are the most influential members of our team. It's my priority to ensure that our teachers have the support, the training, and the resources they need to provide the highest-quality instruction and environment for our students.

*Students matter.  All students deserve to be loved and treated as if they were my own children. They should be known by name, strength, and need.

*Parents matter.  Parents have choices for their children's education and we appreciate the faith they've placed in us to serve them. Parents have the right to know and communicate with their children's teachers, to know what their children are being taught and to have a voice in the big decisions that shape our school.

I can't imagine working at any other district because the staff, students, and parents at NTxCA are part of my family now. If I can be of service to you in any way, please call or email me. If you're not yet a part of the NTxCA community, schedule a tour today to see what makes us #MoreThanASchool.
