Good afternoon, NTxCA families. Although the sun today brought warmer temperatures and helped melt a lot of the ice, we know that many side roads and rural areas are still not safe for travel. As much as we want to see our students and get back to normal, we need to give this one more day. All campuses and offices will be closed Thursday January 29.
We will see you Friday!

Our cabin fever is strong and our snacks are all gone.
This wintry front lasted way too long!
We're tired of ice and ready to go,
But the roads aren't quite clear, so Wednesday's a no-go.
One more day off won't hurt us, I reckon,
Because we LOVE first...and always TEACH second.
See you Thursday!

Because temperatures are not expected to get above freezing until Tuesday afternoon, we do not believe we can safely ask staff and students to report to school, even with a delayed start. All campuses will be closed Tuesday January 27. We hope you all are staying safe and warm!

Below, please find a link to warming centers and shelters should your family need assistance. We promise to update with our plans for Tuesday as soon as we can.

It's Grocery Day! Pantries at all 3 campuses are open today 2:00-4:00pm to serve currently-enrolled families. Shopping bags are provided. No outside bags or boxes. Please honor the bag limit per household so that all families in-need are served.

Additionally, we will announce any delays or closures for Monday as early as possible. Our campus pantries will be open Wednesday 2:00-4:00PM and are well-stocked to provide what NTxCA families may need to make it through a long, cold weekend.
Please download the NTxCA app and make sure your contact information is updated at your campus to receive calls/texts about school closure. #LOVEfirstTEACHsecond

Donations Needed! Please help us fulfill our 4th 6 Weeks' community service project early!!

As we look back on 2025, we're truly thankful for the families we serve and for the staff who helped us achieve our goals this year. Celebrate with us as we reflect on a few of our incredible highlights:
Increased academic achievement ratings at every campus and at the district level
Launched new CTE electives for middle school including Robotics, 3D Printing, Hydroponic Gardening and Entrepreneurship
Finalized a two-year construction project at our East Campus
Celebrated 2 new cohorts of teachers graduating with their Master's degrees at no cost to them
Issued $348,000 in Teacher Incentive Allotment funds to designated teachers
Maintained a perfect 100% Financial Integrity Rating
Honored students placing in 14 categories at the Texas State Beta Convention
Provided over 2000 hours of free counseling and crisis support for school families
Distributed over 140,000 lbs of food through our campus pantries
Received over $2MM in competitive grants to improve student outcomes
Supported Hearts for Homes, Our Daily Bread and Denton County Friends of the Family through community service outreach
Received our charter renewal from the Texas Education Agency through 2035
While 2025 gave us much to celebrate with great thanks, we look forward to 2026 and all the blessings it will bring. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your family.
